DAY 1
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
From the moment you arrive, the landscape changes dramatically. Open savannah, acacia woodland and towering baobabs replace the familiar surroundings of everyday life as you enter Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most distinctive wildlife destinations.
Set out on your first game drive with your guide, exploring the park's diverse habitats in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and a variety of antelope. Tarangire is particularly renowned for its large elephant herds, and your guide will use their knowledge of the park to seek out the best wildlife encounters of the afternoon.
As the day progresses, the warm afternoon light begins to transform the landscape. Ancient baobabs stand dramatically against the golden plains while wildlife moves through the grasslands and woodland.
Continue your game drive before leaving the park and travelling towards Karatu, a peaceful town nestled among the fertile highlands near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Arrive at your lodge in the evening, settle in and enjoy dinner before a relaxing night's rest.

DAY 2
TARANGIRE TO NGORONGORO
Rise early and enjoy breakfast before setting out with your private safari guide towards the Ngorongoro Crater.
The journey to the crater takes you through the beautiful highlands surrounding the conservation area before reaching the crater descent road. As you descend through the forested slopes, the vast crater floor gradually comes into view below.
Once on the crater floor, begin your game drive through one of Africa's most extraordinary wildlife environments.
The open grasslands, wetlands and woodland provide habitat for large numbers of wildlife. Your guide will search for lions, hyenas, elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and gazelles, while keeping a careful eye out for the endangered black rhinoceros.
The crater's compact ecosystem makes for an immersive game-viewing experience, with the towering crater walls providing a dramatic backdrop wherever you travel.
Your guide will take time to interpret the wildlife around you, explaining animal behaviour and the relationships between the different species that share this remarkable environment.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location before continuing your exploration of the crater.
Later in the afternoon, begin the ascent from the crater floor and towards to your accommodation.
Back at your lodge, enjoy a relaxed evening after a full day of wildlife viewing. This is your opportunity to unwind, enjoy dinner and take in the peaceful atmosphere of the surrounding highlands.

DAY 3
NGORONGORO CRATER & FLY OUT
After an early breakfast, descend with your private safari guide into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive.
As you reach the crater floor, an extraordinary landscape unfolds around you—open grasslands, wetlands and woodland enclosed by the dramatic walls of the ancient caldera.
Your guide will explore the crater in search of its abundant wildlife. The morning may bring encounters with lions, hyenas, elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, gazelles and hippos, while the open plains provide an opportunity to search for the endangered black rhinoceros.
With the crater's wildlife concentrated within a relatively compact area, the morning offers a wonderfully immersive safari experience. Your guide will interpret animal behaviour and help you understand the relationships between the different species that share this remarkable ecosystem.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location before continuing your final game drive. Later, ascend the crater walls and proceed towards the Ngorongoro Airstrip for your onward flight.
As the aircraft lifts above the highlands, the crater gradually unfolds beneath you, providing a beautiful final perspective on your Tanzanian adventure.
