Overview

The Lemosho route is widely regarded as an optimal choice for climbers seeking effective acclimatization and breathtaking vistas. Its lesser usage and scenic ascent to the Shira Plateau enhance its appeal.

Distinguished by the provision of armed ranger accompaniment on the initial day, the route ensures safety in the face of potential encounters with buffalo, elephant, and other wildlife inhabiting the Lemosho Glades.

While the minimum duration for the Lemosho route is 6 days, a prudent recommendation advises extending the journey to 7 days. This additional day facilitates superior acclimatization, mitigating the risk of altitude sickness, and affords essential rest ahead of the summit attempt.
