Tour Plan

Day 1 Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and travel towards Serengeti National Park, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way. Upon entering the park, begin your first game drive as you make your way toward your lodge or tented camp.

The Serengeti is famous for its endless plains and abundant wildlife. Depending on the season and location of the animals, you may encounter wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, elephants, buffalo, lions, and other wildlife.

Dinner and overnight; Picnic campsite

Meals: lunch, and dinner

Day 2 Full-Day Serengeti – Follow the Great Migration

After an early breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive following the Great Migration. Your guide will search for the herds based on their seasonal movement and recent wildlife activity.

Spend the day exploring the plains, looking for large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra as well as the predators that follow the herds, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

Dinner and overnight: Picnic campsite

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 3 Serengeti – Follow the Migration & Big Five

Continue your exploration of the Serengeti with another full day of game viewing. Follow the migration while also focusing on areas known for excellent Big Five sightings.

You may encounter lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and, with luck, rhinos. The day will be flexible so your safari guide can respond to wildlife movements and maximize your opportunities for memorable sightings.

Dinner and overnight: Public campsite

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 4 Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

Enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before departing towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. The landscape changes dramatically as you leave the open Serengeti plains and travel into the cooler highlands.

Along the way, enjoy spectacular scenery, traditional villages, and views of the surrounding volcanic landscapes.

Arrive at your lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands for relaxation and preparation for the following day's exploration of Ndutu.

Dinner and overnight: Simba campsite

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 5 Full-Day Ndutu Area

Today is dedicated to exploring the Ndutu area, an important wildlife region within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and part of the broader Serengeti ecosystem.

Ndutu is particularly famous during the migration season, when large numbers of wildebeest and zebra gather in the area. It is also an excellent area for predator sightings, with lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and other carnivores often following the herds.

Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the bush before returning to your accommodation.

Dinner and overnight: Simba campsite

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.

The crater is one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife destinations, with a high concentration of animals living within its natural enclosure. Search for lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, flamingos, and, with luck, the endangered black rhino.

After the game drive, ascend from the crater and return to your accommodation.

Dinner and overnight:  karatu safari camping

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 7 Hadzabe Bush Experience

After breakfast, travel to the Lake Eyasi area for an authentic cultural experience with the Hadzabe, one of Tanzania's indigenous hunter-gatherer communities.

Spend time learning about their traditional lifestyle, hunting techniques, gathering practices, music, and relationship with the surrounding environment. This provides a unique opportunity to experience a side of Tanzania beyond wildlife safaris.

After the cultural experience, begin your onward journey, with the safari ending in Arusha or another agreed destination.
